The Terra Fi 5 are an all terrain sandal that features an ultra grippy, well treaded Spider rubber outsole, a quick drying, hook/loop secure web strap system and a molded PU midsole that provides excellent cushioning. There is also a TPU shank to stabilize and support the foot on uneven terrain. The Terra Fi 5 is quite versatile and is excellent for day to day wear, water sports/activities and light hiking.
Available in several color options, in addition to a leather upgrade for just $10 more, the Terra Fi 5 has as much style as practical functionality.
I find the straps to be exceptionally comfortable and they cinch down snug enough for a good foothold which is not always a given with sandals for me and my skinny feet.. The straps cinch down easily and dry quickly after getting wet and the sandal overall does a great job at not retaining odors, as they are treated with Life Natural peppermint based odor treatment (don’t worry, you can’t even smell it).
Like any sandal, you can wear them with or without socks, so without socks when at the beach, fording creeks, canoeing, kayaking, etc…. And of course with socks any other time for day to day casual use to help keep your feet cool and clean. Either way, they are quite comfortable.
Fit in my usual size 10 is true to size and they fit me perfectly, from the length, to width, to strap retention as I mentioned above.
The PU midsole with TPU shank is not necessarily plush, but has adequate cushion for wearing all day and the TPU shank helps provide some structure, support and protection on uneven terrain (rocky trails, rocky creek bottoms, etc…).
Traction is excellent, from light to medium trail use and it has especially good traction when wet and around the water’s edge.
All in all, the Terra Fi 5 is a capable, highly versatile sandal for daily use, water sports and light hiking.
