R4 Body Roller ($60)
Most individuals who run and who excel atit know that “just running” will not get the PR’s and take you to the next level. A very big factor that needs to be taken into consideration is recovery. For the most part sleep is the key to recovery, but recovery also can include other modalities, such as active recovery, icing, and also foam rolling.
Being a college athlete, being injured is something that is not welcomed, so I was quite pleased to receive the R4 Body Roller. I was very excited to test it due to its intricate design and potential to target many areas.
The R4 Body Roller is composed of a relatively soft Proprietary High-density EVA Foam, with a harder, sturdier, Engineered ABS core. This combination makes rolling out with this roller comfortable, while at the same time, making the roller durable.
The roller is HUGE .It is 18" x 6" (45.7cm x 15.2cm), and weighs 2.6 lbs (1.17 kg), so it is a fairly decent size. It is certainly a roller that would not fit into most bags, however you can hold it just fine as it does hit any area you'd like to roll out.
One key part of it’s design, which separates it from its competitors, is that it features a center-groove, whose primary focus is the spine and neck. The groove also works great for the glutes, IT band, calves, etc.
Just as all of ROLL’s products, the design quality is second to none, and it is extremely well engineered and built.
The R4 Body Roller, with its unique design and high-density foam, effectively targets muscle groups for runners and other sports' athletes. It delivers a comfortable and effective recovery experience. Its substantial size and versatility make it a professional-grade recovery tool for full-body use, in ways that many other recovery modalities cannot.
