Releases July 2020. $120

In the video below I take the Saucony Canyon TR for a 1st road to trail run, detail its features and compare them at 8:52 in the video to Saucony's other 2020 trail models: Xodus 10, Mad River TR 2, Peregrine 10, and Switchback 2 as well as the similar stack height road Endorphin Shift.

The Canyon TR is a super cushioned door to trail model with a PWRUN midsole (shared with Peregrine 10 and Mad River TR) with a TrailTack outsole with 3.5 mm lugs and a woven braided rock plate. The engineered mesh upper with mostly translucent 3D print overlays around the lower areas is already notable for its incredible support. Full multi tester review coming soon!

Gosh darn it, the 8mm drop is a deal breaker for me. The shoe looks very promising overall as a light trail/pavement pounder. I'm on the lookout for a replacement for the sonic pro 2 but 6mm is my max, which has been the most difficult criteria to nail down

Xavier,
Given the firmish outsole it will feel like 8mm. Take a look at 4mm drop Xodus as an alternative. While heavy it is very very fine on the road and can do any trail

Really interested in this shoe.
How much cushion in the midsole are we talking, specifically?
Would you say less than the nike zoom fly 3, but more than the hoka carbon x?

I really like a more cushioned trail shoe so I am nervous.
The colorway of this has got me though.
I am really adoring Saucony's modern-retro colorway options.
Would you say I can put in a 20 mile easy day on some mild trails in this beauty?

HI Unknown,
For sure a 20 miler on milder trails. Tons of cushion here. The color way is I agree great.
HI Unknown,
Compared to Zoom Fly, a completely different feeling shoe plate and all I would say about equivalent cushion and for me ZF an awkward rocker and narrow heel landing limiting use for me to faster paces where it is more dynamic for sure than heavier Canyon, mostly a trail shoe. I would not take ZF on any trails,
Carbon X has about equivalent cushion but the plate is felt in the mix and a flatter rocking shoe and it is stiff

Hey thanks so much for getting back to me Sam.
I really appreciate it.

One last thing if you don't mind; would you say this is true-to-size?
In the video you seemed to be happy a half size up.
I normally wear a 10.5 but, for instance in the Vaporfly 4% and Next%, I can go to an 11.
I don't have the widest foot, but it is not narrow either. Maybe a little wider than average, but rarely too wide to justify any wider iterations.

For reference, I had to get the Pegasus 37 in wide. Also, the Fuelcell Rebel's and Carbon x made the bottom of my foot pinch in the middle on toe-off and start to blister after 7+ miles or so as my feet were just slightly too bunched up in the forefoot.

Is there any update on the release date for these, seems to have been and gone with no news. Looking forward to the multi tester review, they look a really good option.
