Hey Sam, Just wanted to say thanks for putting together this article. I spend way too much time reading your site's reviews, and I was looking forward to seeing if I could figure out some of the reviewers favorites. I think Peter and Dave made it a little easy for me with the way they described their favorite shoes in their original reviews. I was a little surprised by your Vomero pick - I know you ranked it really high, but there were a few other shoes you said made you smile earlier this year as well (Floatride Run Fast, Beacon, and Vaporfly if memory serves me right). You guys do a great job giving reviews of the shoes you cover, and the personality that your reviewers add to their writing voice always makes me smile. I think my favorite line is from Dave when he talks about putting in sessions at the oval office. I'd never heard that before and I've been running or coaching for twenty years now. I loved reading over the reviewers' top picks for the year, and especially appreciated how things were broken down into categories. Thanks again.

Hi Matt, Glad you enjoyed! Kind of ran out of time to tabulate and summarize. Yes while other shoes gave slightly bigger smiles I felt practical, fast, day in day out Vomero 14 deserved my shoe of the year. Sometimes steady light wins out over bright shiny. This said I found it a hugely exciting well executed trainer! Happy New Year! Sam, Editor
