Road Runner Sports Korsa Run and Lounge Wear Review

Article by Jeff and Allison Valliere

Road Runner Sports Korsa Run and Lounge Wear for Men and Women

Introduction:  Korsa is an in-house brand at Road Runner Sports, offering a variety of apparel for the run, warmup or post run lounging.  We were able to test out some of their offerings and can attest that their clothing is comfortable, functional and well constructed.

Men’s Korsa Metropolitan Hoodie 2.0

Sizes SM-XXL

$99.99

The Metro Hoodie is made from 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex and consists of a midweight fabric that balances warmth and breathability.  It is ideal for post run/post workout sessions, wearing around town and my favorite, just a nice, comfortable day to day hoodie to wear around the house on chilly winter days.  The hood had a convenient drawstring to keep the hood in place on windy days, as well as two hand pockets (no zipper though), which helps with comfort.  Fit is true to size in my typical medium, if a touch baggy, which is great, since it is all about casual comfort here and not sleek performance.  The look is quite casual and I generally view/use the Metropolitan Hoodie 2.0 as houseware, but has enough style for running errands or a trip to the coffee shop.

“Action shot” as I typically wear the Metropolitan Hoodie 2.0 and Jogger 😀

KEY FEATURES + BENEFITS

Optimal Snuggliness: Midweight fabric offers a comfy balance of warmth and breathability, ideal for cooling down after exercise or just hanging out.

Sleek Finish: Clean seams give this hoodie a smooth, refined look that uplevels your closet.

Adjustable Coverage: Equipped with a drawcord at the hood opening, it easily adjusts for weather conditions or personal comfort.

Functional Storage: Open kangaroo pockets provide convenient storage, keeping essentials accessible on the go.

Fabric:

Body: 90% polyester/10% spandex

Men’s Korsa Metropolitan Jogger

Sizes SM-XXL

$79.99

The Jogger pants are the perfect companion to the Hoodie 2.0 and in my opinion are a bit too baggy for jogging, but one might use them as a workout pant or, as I prefer, house pajamas that are also sufficient for running an errand or heading out the door to take the kids to school.

They feature:

5 Pockets: Mesh phone pocket inside the right front pocket, a cargo pocket above the left knee, back zip security pocket that can fit a large cell phone and 2 open front side pockets.

Convertible Drawcord: Waistband has a convertible drawcord that can be worn inside or out.

Key Storage: A bungee elastic loop inside the right pocket allows you to secure your keys.

Extra Warmth: Ankle cuffs trap heat to keep you warm.

Made To Move: Articulated knees give you complete range of motion.

Stay Visible: Reflective branding keeps you visible in low light.

Fabric:

Body: 90% polyester/10% spandex

Lining: 83% polyester/17% spandex

I have long legs for my height (5’9”) and typically wear a large in such pants and these fit true to size, with perfect length and an appropriate fit for my 33” waist, as the stretch waistband and drawcord help achieve a perfect fit.

Women’s Korsa Aero Fill Run Vest

Sizes XS-XL

$119.99

The Aero Fill Run Vest is a quilted hybrid softshell with a unique futuristic look to keep your core warm while allowing for freedom of movement.  The vest is wind resistant and warm, with lightweight down insulation when you need just that little bit extra, over a long sleeve baselayer and often under a shell.

KEY FEATURES + BENEFITS

Stash Pockets: Two front zippered pockets to store your stuff.

Comfy Collar: A plush collar lining for comfort when you're on the move.

Stay Warm: Keep the heat in with the elastic logo hem band.

Lightweight Insulation: High tech welded quilting on the front and back chest keeps your core warm.

Mobility & Comfort: Super soft knit lower body, side panels, and collar for breathability and efficient range of motion.

Fabric:

Shell/Lining: 100% polyester

Fill: 90% down/10% feather

Contrast: 75% polyester/25% spandex

Fit is true to size in my normal size small, though there is not much leeway and is an athletic fit in general.

I have worn it trail running, hiking, snowshoeing and for casual use and it keeps me warm, but the styling might not be for all.

Women’s Korsa Glacier Tech Tight

XS-XXL

$89.99

The Glacier Tech tights are designed for cold weather and are heavyweight with a brushed interior. They are warm and soft, comfortable in coldest temps and made with sweat-wicking, antimicrobial and anti-pilling fabric.  I have used them for running, hiking and snowshoeing and sometimes layer under shell pants on really cold days in the mountains and they have been adequately warm.

KEY FEATURES + BENEFITS

Pockets: Left front zip pocket.

Luxuriously Soft: Jersey brushed fabric has a super soft handfeel.

Sweat-Wicking: Antimicrobial, moisture-wicking fabric that won't pill, snag or sag.

Stay Seen: Reflective heat transfer for visibility.

Custom Fit: Drawcord on the waistband for your perfect fit.

Exposed Knit Waistband

Full Length

Fabric:

Body: 81% polyester/19% spandex

Waistband: 78% polyester/28% spandex

Fit has been tricky, as I am normally a size small in everything, but I could not even come close to squeezing into them.  I was able to trade out for a size medium and even those are a bit odd fitting, perhaps still a touch too small.

Women’s Korsa Metropolitan Hoodie 2.0

Sizes XS-XL

$99.99

Jeff sums up the details and purpose of the hoodie well.  Fit for me in my women’s small is true to size and I find it to be comfortable for wearing around the house and the occasional errand.  It is definitely a casual piece and I would not use it for athletic endeavors.

KEY FEATURES + BENEFITS

Inviting Performance: Crafted with top-of-the-line materials, it feels lightweight while keeping you warm, ideal for layering or standalone wear.

Freedom of Movement: A slightly boxy, easy fit through the body ensures unrestricted movement whether you're stretching, lifting, or lounging.

Practical Stowaways: Front zip pockets securely hold essentials, so you're always ready to go without the bulk.

The Look: Hits below the natural waist with a semi-cropped length that offers style with zero interference.

Enhanced Comfort: Self-cuffs and hem band provide a snug fit that stays in place.

Fabric:

Body: 90% polyester/10% spandex

Contrast: 83% polyester/17% spandex

Women’s Korsa Metropolitan Pant

Sizes XS-XL

$79.99

Again Jeff sums up the Metropolitan pants well.  Fit for me is true to size in my usual size small, with a bit of a 70’s look, tight in the thighs with somewhat of a bell bottom flair.  I wear them mostly around the house and for the occasional errand or going out for coffee.  On a recent trip to the local coffee shop, I sat for an hour on a plastic chair and found that the polyester didn’t breathe all that well.  I was sort of surprised, as this does not happen with any other pants and it wasn’t really all that warm.

KEY FEATURES + BENEFITS

Perfect Fit: External drawcord at the waistband ensures a snug, adjustable fit that stays in place whether you're active or relaxing.

Casual Elegance: Full-length pants with a slight flare from knee to hem - flattering silhouette much?

Practical Pockets: Equipped with two in the front and two in the back, perfect for stashing essentials while on the move.

Cozy Fabric: Crafted from performance track fabric that's warm and comfy.

Everyday Versatility: The design function and style are ideal for a variety of settings.

Fabric:

Body: 90% polyester/10% spandex

Contrast: 83% polyester/17% spandex
