Tracksmith announces the Tracksmith Varsity Club, a US collegiate track and field NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) support program for American athletes with applications open today and through September 20, 2023. The goal is to help talented college athletes transition to post-collegiate high level competition.
Tracksmith origins are in the collegiate track experience and with the style of 1960's and 1970's college uniforms, so this initiative makes total sense.
Selected athletes will benefit from:
- A one week post NCAA season training/racing trip to Europe, all expenses paid
- Tracksmith gear stipend
- Mentorship by a member of Tracksmith's post collegiate elite Athlete Sponsorship Program (ASP) as well as access to monthly seminars with elite athletes, coaches, agents, and media personnel
All NCAA division athletes and disciplines are welcome to apply. Americans only due to student visa restrictions.
The Varsity Club follows on the great success of Tracksmith's post collegiate ASP program for mostly (no shoe contract) unsponsored athletes which had Cravont Charleston (100m Champ USATFOC), Freddie Crittenden (110 hurdles USA team at Budapest)) and Kara Winger winning sliver at the 2022 worlds in Javelin.
