Watch our video below as I describe my first run and all the details for the Xodus 10 (6:47). Big and pleasant surprises as I took them on the road and some snow covered sidewalks along the snowy New Hampshire Seacoast.

One of our testers Jeff Valliere also reports his 1st run impressions from the technical terrain in Flatirons above Boulder, CO.

"This morning I ran 1,300 vert up a rocky, technical trail, then rolling, non tech buffed out descent before cutting off trail on steep, loose junk, some road, then a very steep off trail climb with intermittent snow, rolling singletrack, loose dirt trail descent and super steep, then some rock slab hopping, some hard ice and a road finish.  The Xodus was awesome on ALL of it.  This has to be at the very top of the all arounder category!"

Really looking forward to the full multi tester reviews of this Xodus 10. I will be testing this shoe, Speedgoat 4, Altra Olympus 4 when available and perhaps a few other higher stack very grippy shoes for my 50 mile hut to hut traverse in the Whites in most probably August. I'm also 62 Sam care to join me LOL?
My big concerns with this shoe is it's ability to rival Megagrip, Frixion, Continental rubber or similar compounds on slab rock and wet slab rock. If it can't it's out as a White Mountain contender for me. If I can't trust a shoe plant on slab or wet slab it's a no go. It's a huge deal trying to make speed in those conditions.
Great work as always with previews and reviews!!!

Hi Jeff J,
I might join you for part of the Huts Traverse but not all at my "age"! I personally would wear boots such as the Hoka Kaha given the terrain with MegaGrip or Speedgoat Mid . I just posted our review of the Xodus 10 which should clearly be in consideration. Its outsole should do just fine on the endless rocks. An absolutely ideal shoe would be a mid height version.
