Altra Running Via Olympus Initial Video Review: Rocking the Max Cush!

Altra Via Olympus ($170)

In the video I take the Via Olympus out for a first run (about 5.5 miles at 9:02 per mile average in a progression ending at 8:18 per mile and share shoe details, fit and ride first impressions.

I measure the Via at 37mm at the heel (including sock liner with official spec 33mm which I assume is without)  and as zero drop shoe 37mm at the forefoot. It features Altra's new EGO Max foam and a rocker geometry which is in contrast to prior Altra trainers which had a flexible platform. 

The fit is Altra Original wide foot shape.

The weight of my US 8.5 sample is 10.23 oz / 290g.
