Rabbit Marathon Majors Race Kits
Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York City—some of the largest and most prestigious races on the planet. One dream unites them all.
Rabbit has created a collection of race day kits for each of the six majors. Inspired by each iconic race and crafted for ultimate speed, their highest performing apparel eliminates distractions and maximizes comfort. Each style combines ultra lightweight, quick-drying, and moisture-wicking fabric with sleek design and innovative tech.
Each collection includes an option of tops: the Speedeez tank top with smooth laser-cut and bonded seams, or the supportive Crusher Crop with a built-in sports bra as well as a long sleeve
They pair that with their Fuel n’ Fly 5 “ shorts that feature five pockets to stash nutrition, a refreshing liner to fight odor, and more.
There will be race day kits for Tokyo (March 2, 2025), and the upcoming Boston (April 21) and London (April 27). Yet to come will be Berlin, Chicago, and New York.
I received samples of the Crusher Crop top, the Fuel’N ‘Fly shorts, and the Layer One long sleeve top.
Fuel ‘N Fly Shorts - Boston ($75)
These shorts could be called cargo shorts, but without the 90s Dad uncoolness factor.
They are lightweight and quick drying with a modest four inch inseam and roomy fit. I definitely wear a size womens XS, and I could fit two of my legs in each leg opening. Let’s say they are ideal for the muscular gal who spends time in the weight room and not just running on the roads; the fit is very generous. Rabbit calls the fit semi-relaxed. It has a mid-rise soft elastic waist with an internal drawstring, and an airy half split leg opening.
The pockets are next-level: there is a back zip pocket that fits most phones, built into the liner to reduce bounce, as well as two front internal stash pockets to hold gels etc and two back stash pockets.
The shorts are designed to keep a runner dry and comfortable even on warm days with a brief liner made from Polartec® Power Dry® that features a peppermint-based anti-odor treatment. And the good news is that this peppermint oil is easily renewable, highly sustainable, and biodegradable.
And the best thing I can say about these shorts? You forget that you are wearing anything at all when on the run! They quietly fit comfortably so you don’t even need to think about your apparel. This is the ultimate compliment!
Crusher Pocket Crop - Boston ($68)
I love these awesome Boston Marathon colors! Every year Rabbit creates a collection for the WMM Marathon majors, and this year’s Boston collection does not disappoint. The Crusher Pocket Crop is luxuriously soft, lightweight and quick drying.
It has a fitted racer back style that is cropped at the navel, so a bit longer than some other crops. There is a laser-cut back pocket to quickly stash or grab your iphone while running, and two ingenious internal front pockets up high to hold gels etc. There is a soft built in bra designed to fit A/B or B/C cups with removable pads, but I read comments that runners with much larger chests found these fit them as well. I might consider sizing up in these crop tops - my usual size XS is a bit snug on me.
Rabbit also makes a singlet in these same colors for Boston 2025 and for the other race kits. To be honest, I would prefer to wear a singlet anyday over a crop top (I am showing my age here) but I know I will see many of these Rabbit Crusher Pocket Crops on the course this April!
Layer One LS - Boston ($65)
The Layer One is a lightweight running top best suited for layering in the winter or as a solo running top in transitional spring temperatures. The Boston Marathon may be only weeks away, but it is still cold and raw here in New England.
The top is soft and lightweight, thinner than my usual grid fleece thermal tops that I live in on winter runs. I do miss thumbholes, my favorite feature of any and all athletic tops.
Whereas fellow RTR reviewer Renee finds the longer length of the Layer One welcome, I find it a bit too long for me. This will be a nice long sleeve layer on spring runs, especially in the Boston Marathon colors with the Boston 2025 Rabbit patch!
