Title Nine Sports Mad Dash Reversible 7/8th Tight & Manresa Hoodie Review

Article by Dominique Winebaum

I received these two pieces (courtesy of T9) and opted to wear them together during outdoor activities even though the hoodie is typically a pre/post workout piece.

Mad Dash Reversible 7/8 Tight - Hubble ($109)
Buttery soft with the appeal of being reversible, the Mad Dash 7/8 Tights are extremely comfortable, functional, and versatile.  I received a size small and the tights fit perfectly though I am usually a size medium (5’5”- 136 lbs). Made with 83% poly/17% spandex, the thickness of the fabric is just right when the weather is on the cool side.  I wore them Nordic skiing as a tester trial though they are mostly described as running tights; my legs stayed warm despite the light flurry of snowflakes

In fact, I have enjoyed Nordic skiing in them in beautiful Round Valley, Park City UT, as much as running in them!

A wide waistband keeps the tights comfortably in place, requiring no adjustment and no pulling up my tights as I am exercising  -- there is a drawcord in the elastic waist, if need be.

On the printed side of the reversible tights, there are two drop-in pockets (on each side of the leg), which are v-shaped, are quite roomy and perfect to store a phone.  My phone is safely stowed away in the v-shaped pocket, totally bounce free, and so easy to retrieve! There is also a third pocket inside the waistband for small items.

Overall, the fit is perfect and the constellation print, which is called “hubble” gives the tights enough flair without being flashy.
On the solid side, there is a reflective band over the hem at the ankle, which can be turned up when wearing on the printed side (as shown on picture above).

I opted to remove the Title Nine tag on the solid side of the tights (lower back center of waistband) with the help of a needle and tiny scissors. Ideally a seam reaper (if you have one on hand) is best.
You don’t have to be an experienced seamstress, but just be careful not to rip the seams of the tights; you just want to focus on removing the topstiches of the tag.

I have been enjoying wearing the Mad Dash tights for a number of activities, including Nordic Skiing, Running, and Walking, as they are extremely comfortable, fit well, keep legs warm, and are attractive.

Another tights option from T9, on the warm side:

Distance Running Tights 2.0
Less expensive at $84 with a lot more reflectivity, and  plenty of warmth, but minus the side v-shaped pockets the Distance Tights are another great option.

The Manresa Hoodie ($89)
Designed as a cozy up hoodie, I was surprised that the Manresa Hoodie performed so well during several outdoor workouts. In short,  I stayed warm and dry. Made with a technical fabric called Fresh Terry ™ (52% poly/43% lyocell /5% Spandex) that is wicking, lightweight, and warm, this explains why I was able to take my Manresa Hoodie on a trail workout!  It is the ideal piece of clothing to wear over a pair of tights as it provides coverage and creates a classy look.

The Manresa Hoodie includes design features that are practical, such as the hood, the kangoroo pocket with an integrated mesh phone pocket, and long sleeves with thumbholes, which also adds a comfortable and cozy feel.  Top stiched seams add texture and interest giving the top more structure and keeping it in place. The collar wraps around the neck whether the hood is up or down.

It comes in five (5) different colors: Blue Denim, Neptune, Icy Blue, Medium Gray Heather, and Monterey.  All attractive!
