Thanks so much. Salomon looks interesting. Can’t wait to see Hoka’s Arahi update.
$190 for the La Sportiva. Yikes. Didn't expect them to jump to Solomon prices.
Anonymous,
It's a premium European made shoe, yes kind of like S-Lab. La Sportiva also has a new reasonably priced trail runner I will cover in my full preview article in the next few days.

Right. I love La Sportivas and I've been wearing them as my main shoes for several years. Seems like for awhile they upped their prices $10 for each year of new models. This is just an unexpected jump.
What is a good road to light trail shoe - has some traction in wet weather
Will run mainly on road and light trail
I currently wear Saucony Ride and Triumph I am neutral runner but want a shoe for wet roads and a little off road -
Thank you
Hi Anonymous,
Not quite the cushion of the Ride or Triumph but the New Balance Gobi is an excellent door to moderate trail shoe. I also really like the Salomon Sonic Pro and Sonic with Vibe if you can find them. A bit slappy but very good traction and responsive without much vibration shock. Another superb alternative the Altra Torin 2.5. Very supportive trail worthy upper. Haven't run the Torin 3 but should be similar but maybe a touch less supportive upper. Reviews of all of these and many others can be found at our index page here http://www.roadtrailrun.com/p/blog-page.html
