About Us
RoadTrailRun was founded in 2005 as an emerging technologies blog with a "side" of running gear tech and reviews as founder Sam Winebaum, a lifelong competitive runner, was always fascinated by run shoes since Nike's earliest days when they were in his hometown with their original R&D and manufacturing and he ran with many of the earliest Nike employees in high school and college.
Today, RoadTrailRun focuses on reviews of running shoes, related apparel and gear for road and trail as well as hiking, ski mo, and gravel/mountain bike/ commuter bike gear.
Our focus is multi tester reviews with multiple comparisons. Our team of 40 contributors is worldwide with coverage in reviews in multiple languages including English, German, French, Dutch/Flemish, Italian and Spanish
