All right. I'm Ted Fitzpatrick here from Saucony at the running event talking
0:06
about new shoes for Saucony in autumn winter 24. So next fall, things coming
0:11
right around the corner. I'll start with our brand new Hurricane 24. So it's been
0:17
a couple years since we did some new things in the hurricane. This season it's
0:22
all about comfort and protection. So we know that there's runners that are
0:26
looking for a shoe that's going to be super comfortable, super supportive, and
0:30
provide a lot of protection whether they're running long or they're just going for a walk. So two ways we've done that in the Hurricane. One is through the
0:38
foam. So it's a dual layer construction. At the bottom we have our Power Run EVA
0:43
So a nice durable blend. And then sitting on top of it a full bed of our Power Run
0:48
PB. So a Peeba based material. Super light. Real bouncy. A lot of energy
0:54
return and plenty of comfort. So that's one way we'll deliver comfort and
0:58
protection on this product. The other is through the geometry. So looking at the
1:03
bottom we've gone with a wider template, a broader base. So you're going to have
1:07
more ground contact. You're going to feel more balanced on the run or out for a
1:11
walk. And that's through heel, straighter through the midfoot where we fill that
1:15
in, and then also up in the forefoot. So tons of comfort, tons of balance, tons of
1:20
support. And then lastly the upper playing along that theme of max comfort
1:26
and max cushion. We deliver a nice soft engineered mesh with a lot of foam and
1:32
padding and protection in the heel. So when you slip in it has that feeling of
1:36
just hugging and enveloping the foot. So that's the Hurricane 24. It's coming out
1:42
July 1st and it's $160. Next up is the, make sure I have the right shoe, the
1:52
Kinvara 15. So obviously a fan favorite for those runners and those people often
1:57
going to the gym doing a versatile routine. But the diehard is that runner
2:01
that's running fast. Maybe they're in a club. Maybe they're doing workouts, tempo
2:05
runs. This really created that minimal movement. So we continue with that. A real
2:10
lightweight Kinvara. One of our lightest ever in that 7 ounce range for a men's
2:15
9. We continue with the same platform from the Kinvara 13. And what we've done
2:20
is refreshed it with a nice lightweight engineered performance mesh upper. So you
2:25
get comfort, you get breathability, and also a nice wearable silhouette. So it
2:31
stays lightweight. Lots of flexibility through the bottom. We continue with our
2:35
power run blend that allows for ground contact. So we don't need lots of
2:40
rubber because the compound itself is extremely durable. We do add a little bit
2:45
of rubber in those high wear areas in the toe and in that lateral heel where
2:49
you're going to strike. But tons of efficiency. That go fast feel for that
2:54
runner wants to kind of feel the ground and have a little bit more proprioception. And then finally when we get to the trail side, coming also in
3:05
July, is the Exodus Ultra 3 which will debut at $160. So for us this is designed
3:12
to go far off-road. So that's why we use the term ultra. Whether you're an ultra
3:17
runner, ultra trail, or just want to get out and enjoy the terrain. So again
3:22
similar to what we talked about with the Hurricane, we go with a broader
3:25
base. You can see that through the heel, a little bit straighter through the
3:29
midfoot, and even up into the forefoot. We want a nice broad base so you get
3:34
comfort and you get protection. And similarly it's a dual layer construction
3:39
It's more of a rim and core. So the rim of this shoe is our Power Run EVA. Super
3:45
durable, great cushioning. And then on the inside is a full layer of our Power Run
3:50
PB. So our most responsive, most energy-efficient foam that also has a
3:55
nice soft poppy feel. The other thing I should mention is the sidewalls on this
4:00
shoe wrap up a little bit higher. So you really get that seated in, sunken in
4:04
feeling just like the Hurricane. And really wraps and hugs the foot. The upper
4:10
obviously built for off-road. So a nice closed mesh. Very durable but still
4:15
enough breathability. A lot of protection in the toe through this Hot Melt toe cap
4:20
for that toe protection if you're hitting rocks and roots and sticks. And then a little bit more protection in the heel with some suede overlays. And then a
4:28
signature for Saucony is always our D-Ring for gaiter compatibility if you're
4:34
looking to add that. Again a lot of comfort and protection at 160 for that
4:38
runner that wants to go far. And it's a six millimeter drop. So a little bit more
4:42
cushion underfoot
