Nike Vomero 18 Introduction

okay we're at the Nike booth and we're

looking at vomero with Ashley who is a

product line manager for among other

things the vomo Ashley tell us what's

happening this is the vomero 18 Vero 18

so this is our uh Max cushion daily

trainer in our line you guys know Camaro

it's been around unik running for the

last few decades um but this is the

latest and greatest update this is going

to launch For Us in Spring 25 uh

February 27th new look and feel for

lomeo so um in the midle here we're

bringing together two of our best bones

you've got zumex that's going to sit on

the top give that really soft responsive

ride and then reex on the bottom so

where where's the zumex uh end so this

actually it's a little bit easier if you

look at the heel so this is the

thickness of the zoomx um so that's

going to be that's going to run right

underneath your foot heel to toe and

then sitting below that we'll have our

car foam that's react X okay and this is

a great foam that we use it's super

durable but it's got great performance

soft responsive so blending the two

together you get a really great Max

cushion feel it's a it's a nice like

balanced level of softness and support

um that's going to give you great energy

return um it also is just really durable

for those longer miles and so the vomero

fans and and I like the 17 quite a bit

how would they find the ride changed

here I'm sure you've run in them so

what's different Runner like forever so

um yeah I would say this is just going

to feel uh like more like a true max

cushion shoe so it's it's more cushion

then the vomero 17 um we've got 46 mm in

the heel 36 in the four foot is that a

change that's 6 mm taller 6 mm okay

you're you're going to feel more Under

Foot what was that 46 46 in the heel and

then 36 in the for 10 mm drop and um the

uh what about about the weight so the

weight for a men's tent is uh 325 g a

women's 355 3 uh 325 325 okay and then a

women's eight will be 262 okay okay and

then um how would you compare it in your

experience and also how well how it's

built to the premium the Pegasus premium

and who are the kind of the who might be

most interested in either yeah I mean

again this is this is all about like

cushion and comfort it's a much softer

experience it's great for those like

easy daily

your P premium fishing but it's

responsive so so when you put it on

you're going to feel that air and again

it's all about returning energy back to

Runners so it's just a faster more

uptempo type shoe okay and then tell us

just a bit about the outsole in the

upper yeah sure um so we'll start with

the outsole maybe cool pretty simple

here we're using our high abion rubber

this is a rubber we use in a lot of our

training shoes just great durability and

traction you've got the classic Waffle

Love

um with some Flex GRS for for good

transition yeah and then um on the upper

here it's just all about comfort so it's

a new engineered Mash that's really soft

and breathable you got some really nice

plushness around the tongue and the

collar really nice soft sock liner to

really make this feel just 360 Comfort

around the foot now the toebox shape is

seems to me more like the Pegasus plus

than the zoom fly which is more a little

more rounded it's kind of a different

shape can you tell us a bit about those

different lasts I guess they must be and

where where you're going to use you know

the rounded ones were although the

premium also had a similar and it felt

great there was plenty of room so but

it's more the shape I'm so glad you

brought that up we're actually going to

be using the same last on all of our

road running shoes so we're really

trying to build which one which last the

zoom the mr10 the last that we've been

using on shoes like the Pegasus and even

the

our are going be on that mr10 last so

it's really nice accommodating fit in

our in our training shoes we make sure

you've got good volume and width in the

toe box and the for foot um really good

heel containment and that 10 mm drop

will be consistent um yeah the last that

we used in more of our faster shoes just

a little bit more that like um that

racing fit so they're a little bit a

little bit more slim a little bit more

um but in the training line it's going

to be all about just giving you really

good room in volume so it works for a

lot of different oh the last important

question price and availability yeah so

uh this is going to

be50 so a little bit more of an

accessible price point where we've been

before that's excellent get this to more

people and it's going to be launching

February 27th and that's excellent it's

right in that price point for a shoe

like that but it's got a big stack it's

got super critical zoomx in the mix yeah

it's yeah I'm liking the the direction
