Hi everybody, we're with Monica, one of the founders of Rabbit and they have a brand new
0:05
shoe, their first shoe, the Dream Chaser. So Monica, tell us about the shoe. All right, hey everyone
0:13
yeah, here at the Boston Marathon at our pop-up shop on Newberry Street where we're debuting our
0:21
first ever shoe called the Dream Chaser. So the Dream Chaser is an everyday training shoe
0:30
a lot of cushion, great stability, you know, just for those, I would say for those easy days
0:37
just when you need a dependable, reliable shoe to get you out the door where
0:42
maybe you're not feeling so great and you need that little extra bump of cushioning, the Dream
0:48
Chaser is going to give you that. So I'll just start with the upper. So the inspiration for the
0:56
upper was how do we take that amazing feeling our consumers get from our apparel, just that soft
1:05
yummy, buttery feel and how do we incorporate that into the shoe. So the shoe is a recycled
1:13
polyester knit, there's no seams, overlays, no pressure points in the midfoot and on the top of
1:22
the foot you've got perfs to give to let air move through and give you breathability
1:29
The other thing is with the tongue, our tongue is very thin and lightweight. This is typically
1:36
the part of the foot that heats up the fastest, so we wanted to make sure we kept that really
1:41
light and cool. I noticed it had a nice strip of padding down the center though
1:48
In the tongue, yeah. So if you go into the collar and at the tip of the tongue
1:54
yes, it's almost, I like to call them pillows for your heel. So we have this great, just wonderful
2:02
molded pieces that just give you that extra just soft and comfort to hug in your heel
2:09
As we move to the inside of the shoe, I'm really proud and excited to partner with Blue Maca Foam
2:17
So what's really amazing with this insole is it's contoured and very cushioned
2:27
and it's made from 85% recycled foams that are leftover scraps that are sitting in a factory
2:37
and that would otherwise go to the landfill or get burned. So is it TPU, the white stuff
2:43
So it's 85% of this foam is recycled ETPU and it's like making Rice Krispies
2:52
treats. So you bind it, so you mix the foam scraps with a binder and this foam
3:01
I mean just the testing on these insoles is this foam will last over a thousand miles
3:05
So it will probably actually outlast the life of the shoe. You could reuse it somewhere else in
3:10
your next shoe. So that's the insole. So I like to call our midsole unit as basically the game
3:20
changer in this shoe. So yeah, so we have ETPU midsole. So the wonderful thing about ETPU is
3:30
it's a very lightweight foam, but also you're going to get the durability with it
3:36
It's one of our favorites. The ETPU foams are really, really nice for training foams
3:42
Absolutely. And then moving into the bottom unit of the shoe. So what we've done is
3:52
we have collaborated with Toray Industries. Toray is one of the leading
3:57
suppliers of carbon fiber in the entire world. So we actually do have a patent pending with our
4:06
carbon track system. And really what we've done over the last few years as we've developed this
4:13
technology is come to find that the stability that the carbon tracks offer when you place them
4:23
in the shoe like this. So with this shoe, you're going to get a lot of cushion
4:29
but you're also going to get that stability and you're going to have, it's going to create
4:34
I would just say, just a more enjoyable experience when incorporating carbon into the shoe
4:41
So really you're going to get that midfoot, just kind of that midfoot push to allow you to go
4:47
through the gate into your forefoot. And so it's quite flexible. I have a pair on here and they're
4:54
quite flexible in the front. Again, something I like a lot. Yeah. So you're going to get that
4:58
good flexibility and toe off. So the stack heights on this shoe, you've got 32 in the heel and 27
5:07
under the forefoot. And the approximate weight. Oh gosh, you're going to stump me now because I
5:17
can't remember off the top of my head. That's okay. Okay. Okay. Thank you
5:26
Oh, availability and pricing. Yes. Yeah. So the Boston version we've launched this weekend
5:33
$160 retail. So also fun fact, this print on the insole, this colorway ties back to all of our
5:42
Boston kits that we're selling in the pop-up. So this is a soft launch. We will do our global
5:52
launch June 5th, which is Global Running Day, where we will have more colors that we'll be
5:58
launching that will tie back to our apparel. Excellent. And what are you going to do on Monday
6:03
with this shoe? I am going to run the Boston Marathon in this exact shoe. Excellent. Thank
6:10
you very much. Very exciting
