As of today (January 2021) all the images are broken links in this review, hopefully that can be fixed.

Next, when you say "if you’re a heel striker, the Distance 9 is not for you (unless of course, you want to work on that - and Newton has shoes to help you do that)" - what is the model you are referring to? I'm curious about this!

Kerblamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18283813725148446391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10529476.post-7759246013072059032020-09-26T06:16:54.126-06:002020-09-26T06:16:54.126-06:00Above note by Troy eidt@gtlaw.com. Agree on all count...Excellent review and thank you! Agree on all counts. As a trail runner, my road shoe rotation is limited but Newton is always part of it. Enjoyed racing the Distance Elite in the Boston and NYC Marathons, but migrated toward carbon plate shoes and now just use the Distance and Distance Elite for training. You might also check out the Gravity 9. It is mostly a recovery shoe for me but smooth and fun. It is helping me transition from a 100 k last weekend to a 100 miler in a month. Good luck with your law practice! I admit I was slightly hesitant to get back to Newton - they'd fallen off my radar after a couple years away - and I'm glad I got back to them!Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03297325506624687004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10529476.post-15931602528594846352020-09-13T13:31:14.682-06:002020-09-13T13:31:14.682-06:00Another awesome review from Michael! I appreciate ...Another awesome review from Michael! I appreciate that y'all are continuing to review shoe companies like Newton despite them having seemingly dropped off the face of the planet for a few years. I recently ordered the Distance 9, as I've had considerable success with Newton shoes (PBing in a 5k in the D8 and running a mostly solid marathon in the Gravity) but I've found that now, a mere year later, there are quite simply too many GREAT shoes to grab for the same amount of money. Shoes that won't punish me too greatly for using them more than a few times a month. So, I sent them back, despite the intoxicating colorway of the D9 and the assurance of speeeeeeed. Also, massive kudos is owed to Newton for accepting worn returns--a wonderful perk that undoubtedly contributes to the high price tag. Thanks again Michael, love your work on this site. cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05321852508982043052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10529476.post-61750954417345129252020-09-13T09:58:21.905-06:002020-09-13T09:58:21.905-06:00Following!Following!Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03297325506624687004noreply@blogger.com
