Toe volume is minimal, but the stretchy material makes it somewhat of a non issue and I would not recommend sizing down at all. That said, I always suggest trying on first, but simultaneously recognize that it is not always possible, so buy from somebody online with a liberal return/exchange/shipping policy like Running Warehouse and wear in the house for as long as needed until sure on sizing before wearing outside. Good luck!Jeff Vallierehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08106877622296558733noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10529476.post-26517567673527392402018-10-01T09:03:05.808-06:002018-10-01T09:03:05.808-06:00Hello,
Thank you for the great review! Always with...Hello,
Thank you for the great review! Always with plenty of good and critical information for us, users, to define if this should be our new trail shoes! And because of that, I have some questions about the sizing on this new La Sportiva Unika!
Normally, I use Hoka One One models in size 43 1/3 EU (Several models such as Evo Mafate, Gaviota, Mafate Speed 2, Speedgoat 2, etc.) and all of them are the same size (43 1/3 EU - 27.5 cm).
My question is, what size should I wear on this La Sportiva Unika? Should I go for the 42,5 EU (27.3 cm based on website info) ou 43 EU (27.6 cm website info)?
Can you help me on this doubt?
Thank you in advance and continue with these great reviews!! :)
Best regards,
Carlos RibeiroCarlos Ribeironoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10529476.post-22765615456222558482018-09-17T14:07:08.148-06:002018-09-17T14:07:08.148-06:00got the XA Elavate and made so far 3 runs. stiffer...got the XA Elavate and made so far 3 runs. stiffer. i could feel that immediately. not so comfortable like s lab sense (no intern sockline) but after 5 min of run you don't feel that. stiffer soles don't feel so much from rocks underneath and so on. got the yellows with 50% of a full price. thanks for advising but honestly i would prefer something more stiffer and a bit stable. maybe more cushion with a solid rockproof soles. There is a big difference in potential use...HI Rom,
There is a big difference in potential use and weight between Unika and Sense Ultra or UA BPF.
What kind of trail running do you do? Unika is near a hiker really. You might look at Salomon XA Elevate (more stable and more cushioned but on firmer side), Hoka Torrent and EVO Mafate, Brooks Caldera 2 and upcoming (review soon) Topo Ultraventure.
