Tracksmith Women’s Fall 2025 Overland Apparel Collection
Introduction
Courtney: The Overland Collection is Tracksmith’s long awaited new trail apparel collection. Tracksmith, as always, promises classic style and I was eager to test “Where MY miles would wander” in the Windbreaker, Short Sleeve and Short Tights.
Overland Windbreaker $215
The Overland Windbreaker in the Iron colorway is a wind and water repellent jacket with merino wool details that make it an easy choice in cooler, inclement weather. Its mock neck silhouette and storage pockets (including a self-packing zipper pocket) make it the perfect companion for New England trail running.
The merino wool collar and underarm panels are soft elements of the jacket making for irritation-free running.
The PFC-free water repellent surface that is both dry and breathable without harmful fluorocarbon compounds. The jacket also features 37.5 Technology to manage temperature and sweat by pulling moisture away from skin in a chemical free way.
Fit
The Overland is tailored enough to be streamlined, but loose and flexible enough to allow full movement for running. It hits above the hip and I found it to be an excellent fit in my normal size xs. It's a perfect extra layer for when the weather is slightly cool. Because it’s Tracksmith I also found the jacket to be a great lifestyle choice for cooler days out and about.
Performance:
I found the Overland Windbreaker to be a great extra layer in light rain and windy weather. It is semi water resistant and definitely not something you would choose for very rainy conditions as it does absorb water.
The side hand pockets are zipperless and that is a bit pointless in a running jacket, except for stuffing a hat and gloves.
The self packing pocket is a brilliant idea and works well with the elastic Tracksmith signature red and white band for carrying or fastening to a run belt.
The Overland Short Sleeve in the Faded Myrtle colorway is a relaxed fit tee made of merino mesh with durable shoulders for pack protection and with built in odor resistance.
The shirt is treated with 37.5 Technology, a chemical free treatment that helps regulate temperature.
Fit: The Overland Short Sleeve is a looser fitting t-shirt that allows movement and comfort. As someone with a shorter torso, I was not surprised to find the length was long and hit my hip. I like how this length pairs with the half tights. My size XS was perfect.
Performance:
The shoulders are water resistant which makes those rainy or dewy mornings on the trails drier and more comfortable while also making them more durable while wearing a pack or race vest, think fall hikes and runs .
Although the t-shirt is soft and quite comfortable, it felt too warm for humid, warmer weather. On cooler mornings the shirt performed well, but even so, there were noticeable sweat marks on the front and back.
Perhaps something to note if you are self conscious about this. I found the t-shirt to have good odor resistance and it will be a t- shirt I keep for a long time due to the combination of merino and 37.5 technology. There are frictionless seams for ultimate comfort and style.
The Iron colorway Overland Short Tights come with Tracksmith’s trademark red and white striped interior band and sport an orange drawstring for a just right fit.
The ultra soft performance fabric is smooth and comfortable and does not ride up on the thigh. They feature 5 storage pockets (including key loop). A durable coating on the mesh pockets prevents snagging on branches. The core of the shorts is made of 62% Nylon, 38% Elastane.
Fit:
The Overland Shorts fit snug to the body while also allowing plenty of movement and flexibility. The thinner material hugs the body but doesn’t squeeze too tight.
Performance:
The Overland Short Tights have 5 pockets of various sizes, and this makes a lot of sense for a trail runner to stash ALL THE SNACKS.
The lumbar pocket provides great storage for an iPhone with a zipper for extra security. My iPhone 15 fits well in the pocket but I remove the case for all my running. There are smaller mesh pockets on either side that can store a key (by the way, has cord loop inside for extra lockdown of items) or fuel for the run.
There are also two larger mesh side pockets that offer additional storage for fuel, a collapsible water bottle, or perhaps an extra piece of clothing.
I appreciate the functionality of the Overland collection, but also the attention to aesthetics.
The pockets are placed high on the waist and are angled in a flattering way. The higher pocket puts the weight of the items you are carrying more at the hips rather than on your legs. This is fantastic as I don’t love the weight of items stored lower on the leg.
The details of color pops and logos tastefully placed make these shorts something you feel confident and comfortable in.
The Overland Shorts fit snug to the body while also allowing plenty of movement and flexibility. The seamless details make for a frictionless run.
They are SO comfortable! I do think Tracksmith would do well with a black colored short as the lighter colored fabric shows sweat marks.
