In the video, after testing on snow, pavement and indoor track with dirt to come when I can find it!, I compare Salomon's 2023 trail line up including the Sense Ride 5, Pulsar Trail 2 Pro, UltraGlide 2, S/Lab Pulsar 2. The table below gives comparative information. All share Energy Foam, Contragrip outsoles, and very similar stack heights but have different purposes and rides.

Any word on a second Version of the Salomon Pulsar Trail? I dont think the changes in the Pro 2 go far enough for me to trust the upper so I was hoping for a more ventilated Trail 2.
Hi Anonymous, No word on Pulsar Trail 2. 2023 catalog I have shows version 1 still in line. I would totally trust the Pulsar Trail Pro 2 upper and for sure it is more ventilated than Pulsar's. The issue with Pro 2 is that is really best used straight ahead on non technical terrain. Sam, Editor
I was hoping the more structured upper from the Trail (2) would help with the use on more technical stuff and make it a more versatile shoe, I use road shoes and the Endorphin Edge (still pretty new to me and not so sure about it) for non technical terrain and look for one that is a bit more in the middle between dirt roads and super technical stuff in the alps.
